Industrial designer is responsible for the development and implementation of world-class distinctive solutions for a wide range of product categories including office seating and furniture. This passionate, driven professional must possess the ability to bring to life fresh, innovative and clever solutions and drive those solutions through development and into the marketplace. This includes defining aspects of form, geometry, aesthetics, mechanical parameters, fit, function, end user interface, and meeting defined criteria for product features, cost, manufacturability, and project schedules. This individual must be able to articulate high level design and product strategy initiatives through visual and verbal communications, display an inventive spirit and an excellent eye for detail. Additionally, individuals should also possess a sound design methodology, outstanding problem solving skills and the ability to take direction. Above all, Industrial designer must be a team player who is exceedingly capable of sketching, rendering, 3-D modeling and communicating your designs to coworkers and customers alike.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
