    The Associate Technical Designer supports the Senior Technical Designer to utilize advanced technical knowledge related to product fit, patterns and construction in order to provide leadership for a large or complex product group.



    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Sketch styles in illustrator.

    • Create initial tech pack.

    • Order and track samples.

    • Partner with Designers in setting a fit strategy for the season.

    • Review styles with Designers to ensure their creative vision is properly translated during the development and fit process

    • Develop fit standards within a category or product group and ensure consistency throughout product lines.

    • Review and fit samples, and provide fit recommendation and direction.

    • Create and communicate pattern revisions, incorporating styling and fit changes.

    • Communicate with overseas partners • Assist Senior Technical designer when needed


    Skills and Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years experience 
    • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design/Technical Design/Patternmaking
    • Knowledge of apparel development process from inception through production, including but not limited to: pattern making, grading, construction and embroidery. •
    • Computer experience: MS Excel, MS Word, Photoshop & Illustrator is a must
    • Pattern making experience
    • Familiarity with current trends, color and design and the ability to demonstrate a sense of style, creativity and color to work with designer in accomplishing a point of view. •
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to construct and fit a garment and to write product specs.
    • Understanding of the product creation process and the ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions • Retail Link a plus
